Sun Founder, Dr. John G. Vondrak
Dr. John G. Vondrak began the practice that would become Sun Orthodontics over 30 years ago, with the belief that quality orthodontic treatment should be available to everyone, regardless of their social class or financial status. He remains committed to this vision today.
Dr. Vondrak is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is past president of the New Mexico Orthodontic Society. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and local dental societies in both New Mexico and Texas.
Remaining committed to his original vision of affordable, quality care has brought Dr. Vondrak much success over the past 30 years, as did his decision to begin his practice in the Southwest. He and his family were initially drawn to the warmth of the climate and the people, but today, the strong economies and low costs are catalysts for continued growth.
His experience and vision have evolved into Sun Orthodontix, one of the largest providers of orthodontic care in the region. Today, Sun Orthodontix is in a period of dynamic growth and expansion into new communities, and we continue, more than ever, to seek like-minded orthodontic specialists to help bring affordable, quality orthodontic care to more patients and their families.
Sun Locations and Expansion
As our company has continued to grow and expand, we've recently begun a rebranding process to better capture the value that we bring to our patients. As a result Orthodonix LTD and Sun Orthodontic Center are now Sun Orthodontix, one of the largest specialized providers of orthodontic care in the Southwest.
Sun targets areas that are typically underserved by other quality providers. Their warm climates, low cost of living, and robust, growing economies make these cities great places to live, raise a family, and work.
