Scott S.H. Huang, DDS, MS

Dr. Huang completed his studies in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and his Master of Science at the University of Michigan, one of the world's top orthodontic programs. During his residency, one of his treatment cases was selected for presentation at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the profession's leading trade organization. While at Michigan, Dr. Huang began researching cleft lip and palate. He has since presented his research at several national and international conferences. A native of Taiwan, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Kaohsiung Medical University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he was among the top five in his class. During his internship at Taichung Veteran Medical Center, Dr. Huang was named Best Intern of the Year. Dr. Huang practiced general dentistry in Taipei, before coming to the United States.

Dr. Huang is an American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) Diplomate, the orthodontic profession’s highest designation. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation, the American Association of Dental Research, and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Orthodontic Study Club, and the Nueces Valley District Dental Society.

In his spare time, Dr. Huang enjoys fishing, camping, and hiking.  When he first visited Corpus Christi, he fell in love with the beach and city’s casual lifestyle.
