Aaron McDonough, DDS, MSD

Dr. Aaron McDonough, Orthodontist Dr. McDonough attended the orthodontics program at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Aurora, where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD). He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry’s rigorous three year program. There he conducted research with Dr. Marie Tolarova on the genetic causes of cleft lip and palate, and received the Frederick T. West Orthodontic Award for academic excellence. His Bachelor of Arts in Medical Biology is from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he made the Dean’s List each of his four years. He got his first workplace experience in orthodontics as a lab technician, working for his father, who is also an orthodontist. Dr. McDonough became adept at fabricating all types of orthodontic appliances, expanders, and retainers.

Dr. McDonough is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and is eligible for board certification by the American Board of Orthodontics. He has completed certification in Incognito, Diode Laser, and Invisalign.

Dr. McDonough lives in Las Cruces with his wife and two children. In his free time, they love exploring southern New Mexico. He says, "Working with Sun Orthodontix is fantastic. I love going to work. This is the best job in the world, and I am passionate about what I do."
