Types of Treatments

Thanks to technological advances, you have more options than ever when it comes to orthodontic treatment. While we typically recommend our standard metal braces, clear braces are becoming increasingly popular. Overall, braces and orthodontic treatment are much cooler than they used to be – with comfortable brackets, fun colored alastics, and faster treatment times.

Metal Braces

Braces made of high-grade stainless steel are still the most common type. The standard metal brackets Sun uses are of the highest quality, smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive than ever.

Clear Braces

Clear braces made of translucent material are becoming increasingly popular with adult patients. They have some potential drawbacks that make them less appropriate for children, such as being more fragile and prone to damage than metal braces, and elastic ties that can discolor between orthodontic visits. Still, they can be an appealing alternative to metal braces.

Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen®

This treatment option consists of a series of clear overlay templates, called aligners, that you switch out about every few weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into place. This system is available to adult patients and teenagers with certain specific bite problems.
